Welcome to Fine Roman Art. My name is Roman Sanchez. I am a gay artist living in Phoenix, Arizona. My artwork mostly revolves around homoerotic themes and subject matter. I paint both digitally and traditionally, though I prefer to work traditionally.
MY STORY
From the moment I first saw James Cameron's Titanic as a kid, I was mesmerized by the art of storytelling and visual beauty. That epic movie sparked a deep passion for art and creativity within me. As I grew older, this passion led me to pursue an education in art, where I discovered a particular love for portrait painting.
High school was a transformative period for me, not just in terms of my artistic journey but also in my personal life. Realizing I was gay added layers of depth and meaning to my work. It was during this time that I started exploring digital art, which opened up new possibilities for expression. Combining my love for portraiture with my identity, I embarked on a series of digital portraits of gay adult film stars “Sacred Intimacies.” This project became a way for me to celebrate and affirm my sexuality while challenging societal norms and exploring the diverse faces and stories within the gay adult film industry.
I am proud to make art for an exclusively queer audience because I'm tired of straight people doing it and getting it wrong.
